February Artists’ Opening Reception
Friday, February 3, 2012
5-9 pm

Madison WI - Absolutely Art and Café Zoma are proud to feature the artwork of Megan Monday and Mariko Kostreva for the month of February. Please join us for live music by the FORWARD! Marching Band (http://forwardband.org/), catering by Bunky’s Café and spectacular artwork the night of the reception.

Megan Monday is a Madison-based photographer and printmaker. Her work explores the intersections between animal and human life, how travel and a sense of place inform identity and non-linear expressions of memory and storytelling. To learn more about Megan visit http://meganmonday.blogspot.com/ or http://www.meganmonday.com/ Megan’s photography, prints and textile art will be featured in Absolutely Art.

Mariko Kostreva is an artist interested in exploring ideas of relationships, science fiction and travel.  She works in Oils using the paint to show subtle formalities of the painting experience and the exploration of human relationships projected empathically onto a broad range of characters.  The shadow world of painting offers her an unrestrained freedom to explore her own relationships and sense of self.   To learn more about Mariko visit http://www.marikofrost.com/Art/Images/Images.html.  Mariko’s oil paintings will be featured in Café Zoma.

The show will run from 2/2/12-2/29/12.
