DESCRIPTION:Overture Center for the Arts brings back the free local music s
 eries Overture After Work\, beginning with Joel Paterson and the Modern So
 unds\, from 5:30pm – 7:30pm on Thursday\, September 16\, in Overture Hal
 l Lobby at Overture Center for the Arts\, 201 State Street\, Madison.  Do
 ors will open at 4:30 pm.\nClassic rockabilly\, blues and jazz will be the
  sounds you will hear from Overture Center’s beautiful lobby\, with plen
 ty of seating for friends\, co-workers and family members. Joel Paterson w
 as raised on the near east-side of Madison\, and now calls Chicago home. W
 ith Beau Sample\, bass and vocals\; Alex Hall\, drums and vocals\, the ban
 d will get you on your feet and swinging to the music.\nOverture After Wor
 k is growing every year\, and a new addition to this season is an arts and
  craft sale. This month we feature Absolutely Art\, a community-based gall
 ery located on Atwood Avenue in Madison. Visitors will be able to browse a
 nd enjoy a mini-art show and purchase work from local artists.  For more

 ughout the series shines a spotlight on a local nonprofit organization. Th
 e featured organization to open the season is Porchlight\, Inc.\, providin
 g emergency shelter\, food\, employment services\, counseling\, and afford
 able housing to homeless people in the Dane County area. In addition\, Por
 chlight Inc. will be selling Porchlight Products\, a unique business that 
 works to make positive changes in our community by providing training for 
 a variety of job and life skills to people with a wide range of disabiliti
 es. Specialty items include jams\, jellies\, marmalades\, pickles and saue
