ProductsThe Bindley Collection includes a broad range of items from photography and wearable arts, stone carving and porcelain to paintings, prints, sculpture and jewelry; in ceramic, glass, fiber, leather, paper, metal and wood. Words are not enough to describe the thousands of pieces we have exhibited since 2002. You have to see, touch and even wear them--hand knits and painted silk, quilts and woven rugs, felted hats and bags by Monica, a featured artist from the gallery’s “day one”. If you come often, you will also observe the loyalty we have to participating artists and craftspersons amidst the constantly changing array of creative products. With prices from $1.50 to $8,000, most items are under $100 for gift giving. |

PhilosophyThis is a place where the artists help in ways beyond merely exhibiting their work and telling others. From the outset, the goal has been to have “affordable art, wonderfully made in Wisconsin”. We want to support the local, to spread out the purchases among local suppliers as well as our customers. We buy food and fixtures, supplies and services from our neighbor businesses, and we’re happy to have long-term relationships to keep us going. |

HistoryThe Bindley Collection Gallery officially began in 2002 when Colleen Bindley asked ten of her artist friends to rent an empty space at Hilldale Mall in Madison—4,000 sq. feet for the holiday season. Since then, the number of local artists with their work in the gallery has grown to more than 115. But there’s much more to the Bindley Collection than just beautiful objects, the gallery has been developed into a welcoming place for everyone, including people using wheelchairs and walkers. |
