PhilosophySupporting and buying locally is important in our businesses. We try to purchase goods and services from other local providers that are needed to maintain our business. For example our banking is done at Home Savings; our web site artworksmadison.com was developed by Mastermind Computer Technologies (Janesville); we purchase products for the art at Wisconsin Craft Market (West Gate), Habitat for Humanity Restore and Lynn's on Odana Rd. We can not find everything needed from a local sources, but we try to use local businesses first when making a purchase. |

HistoryDifferent by Design Today was established in 2005, by Michael Anderson and Colin Murray. We started with a small decorating business. We quickly found we had left over materials from the business, such as wall paper and paint samples. Instead of throwing them out, we combined colorful materials, added some bling and framed it. Poof! A whole new art business was born. Since then we have done art shows and fairs all over Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida and Minnesota. During the holidays, Michael also creates a line of decorative holiday items. We have also expanded our efforts into producing art shows. We have now developed 2 shows (March and October) in Madison.
