HistoryPaul Askins first opened Paul’s Book Store in 1954 on the 700 block of State Street. In 1963, Paul’s Book Store moved to its current location at 670 State Street. Caryl Askins, Paul’s wife, took over the business when Paul passed away in 1975. Caryl works to preserve the historic character of Paul’s Book Store and serving a loyal clientele including UW faculty, students, and Madison visitors. |
