ProductsWhether making short films, documenting oral histories, designing jewelry, shooting commercially or traveling for beads, PointyKitty Studios owner Alyska Bailey Peterson has always been involved in some sort of creative endeavor. In addition to exhibiting at art and craft fairs across the Midwest, the Studio also specializes in fine art jury slide photography for emerging artists. Her current assignments have focused on expanding her commercial photography career while collaborating with various businesses and craftspeople to visually brand their work in today's marketplace. |

PhilosophyWhile exhibiting jewelry and handmade accessories, PointyKitty Studios noted the growing need for connecting the public to the community's local artists. With our background in commercial photography, we have specialized in fine art jury slide and marketing photography for emerging artists, to assist them in exhibiting their work to a larger audience. Always an enabler, Alyska is most satisfied when she can connect artists with new patrons who will continue to help our arts scene thrive. |

HistoryFor the last decade, Alyska has been living and working in Madison, Wisconsin, in the heart of the American Midwest. She earned a BA in film production from the University of Wisconsin in 2001, will earn a degree in commercial photography in 2009, and has found that creative diversity and freedom continue to be her life's passion. In September 2008, PointyKitty Studios moved into a new space on Madison's Northeast side, which features both a workspace for our handmade accessories as well as a full-service commercial photo studio. |
