ProductsI am a local author who recently released The Teashop Girls, a book for young readers set here in Madison. It's a story about three young tea enthusiasts who pitch in to save a struggling local shop owned by the main character's grandmother. The book has a wholesome and warm tone, with an emphasis on the importance of funny friends, family, food, and community. It also includes a lot of "tea extras" including quotes, recipes, facts, and vintage ads. |

PhilosophyBuying local is extremely important to me. It keeps our city unique and full of interesting, passionate people. Supporting local business is one of the main themes of The Teashop Girls, as I feel that young people need to know why it matters. |

HistoryI began writing my book in 2005 and was inspired in part by working for a fabulous local business, Imperial Garden restaurant in Middleton, since 2000. Now that The Teashop Girls is released, I hope that its message connects me to other local business owners and devotees! My plan for The Teashop Girls is to make it a series of books. The next installment will focus on the farmer's market... my favorite place to be every Saturday in summer. |
