Located in Madison, WI, Under-current Paper Products provides handmade, recycled and earth-friendly paper products for writing and art projects.

Handmade paper & stationery is made from shredded office paper. Each sheet of paper is individually hand-crafted. Write a friend a unique letter!
Handmade journals are designed according to the size of available reclaimed paper, then bound with waxed hemp twine and covered in decorative paper. Start a journal!
Greeting cards are blank or personalized, and are available in either 100% post-consumer, photo-grade paper or handmade paper and feature original photography of Wisconsin urban and rural landscapes. Cards for all occasions, including holidays, thank yous, wedding invitations and birth announcements. Prints are available of all photos and portraits are available on cards and as prints.

Philosophy

Under-Current Paper Products uses waste paper materials that are easily attained from any office or print shop. If the product is not made locally, an independently-owned business is involved. Why? Because the spirit of our community depends on it.

History

Cursed by a life of endless projects, Peter Fiala decided to start Under-Current Paper Products to promote his love for detail in photography as well as develop interests in book-binding and paper making. The name was inspired by the undercurrent of small businesses and individuals that drive a strong local economy.
