HistoryIn 1994, President Michael Johnson built a cart to sell coffee at the Dane County Farmer's Market. Using a commercial popcorn popper to roast his first green beans, he knew there had to be more to the art of roasting coffee. For the last 15 years, he has scoured the globe and the industry to become a leader in specialty coffee roasting. Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters is at the forefront of quality and sustainability issues. Michael Johnson has judged in numerous global coffee competitions and our roaster Nickolas Butler is a regular contributor to leading industry magazines. Yet, when it comes right down to it, we remain that small, down-to-earth family business that simply loves great coffee and great people. |
