PhilosophyProviding support to other local businesses and artisans is important, especially in Stoughton where things are based on a small scale. It is important to buy local in order to keep money in our community for a longer time. It feels good to support our neighbors who support us in return by maintaining and preserving our local economy. We strive to provide a pleasurable experience in our store to all our customers and our local community members. |

HistoryRichard Sneider and Steve Nashold first opened Catfish River Arts and Antiques in Stoughton Wisconsin in 2001. They spent 3 years renovating the 1898 Department Store into the premier showcase for antiques and fine art in Wisconsin, and created what many customers call “the nicest antique store they have ever seen.” In 2002, Catfish River Arts and Antiques won the 2002 Historic Preservation Award from the Madison-Area Trust for Historic Preservation. |
