Designed for working professionals, the Sustainability Leadership Graduate Certificate Program serves those who recognize the urgent call to create more ecologically, economically, and socially resilient communities. In this one-year, project based program, students develop the transformative ethical leadership skills needed to successfully apply the principles of sustainability for positive change. Together with faculty, they work in partnership with community organizations to address global challenges with local solutions.

Philosophy

The Sustainability Leadership Graduate Certificate Program applies the principles we teach to our actions inside and outside the classroom. Strengthening local communities is, of course, a key concept. We engage with diverse partners across the community to provide supplies and expertise for our program.

History

Starting with our first cohort in August 2010, our community has grown to include a host of community partners and friends. In addition to our students, community fellows and advisory board members, our community includes organizations and institutions who share our vision for transformational change to a sustainable world. Students engage with the community to plan and execute projects that advance this work.
