Products

Atticus opened in May of 2008 on the Capitol Square in downtown Madison. Striving to create a haven for the environmentally and trend conscious customer, the shop has cultivated an ever-evolving collection of apparel, accessories and apothecary products for men and women from small, up and coming designers. The Atticus collection is infused with eco-friendly lines made from recycled, organic or sustainable materials, as well as jewelry and apparel from local designers. The Atticus experience is about purchasing something you love and adapting the piece to fit your own style and agenda.

Philosophy

Atticus is 100% locally owned and is an advocate for creating more locally owned business in downtown Madison. Local flare is what makes this area unique and a place that diners, shoppers and theatre-goers want to be. Atticus represents local talent in the form of apparel, jewelry and accessories.

History

Kristin Wild, a 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, created the idea for Atticus in early 2008. After working in the fashion industry in New York, she wanted to bring a part of her passion back to the Midwest. The shop began with the intention to sell collections from young, up and coming designers that were not available elsewhere in Madison or even Wisconsin. In July 2009, atticusshop.com launched as an e-commerce extension of the local storefront.
