HistoryOwners, Ann & Javier Kratofil, opened Cookies by Design in February 1995, just in time for Valentine's Day. People were skeptical about the big, expensive decorated cookies, but once they tasted them and gave them to others, they were hooked! We are part of a franchise system, but all buying decisions are based locally. Our home office in Texas recently announced plans to build a huge baking center in Plano, TX, which would ship cookies to all parts of the country currently not serviced by a local store.
