Products

Little Luxuries has evolved from a specialty store for women, selling primarily jewelry, scarves, hats and other accessories to a more general gift store serving people of all ages and both sexes. Our categories include personal accessories, such as purses, wallets, laptop cases; hair accessories including barrettes, headbands and hair sticks; reading glasses and sunglasses; general gifts including unusual tabletop, gadgets and games, and an eclectic selection of gift books. We work hard to bring the best of design, function and innovation to our product mix.

Philosophy

State Street has been a major retail and social hub in one form or another since the city's inception. The local stores, restaurants, vendors and street performers define its special character and are a vital component of the city's psyche. It is a pleasure to be a part of Madison's unique downtown culture and we enjoy connecting with the community every day we welcome customers through our doors. We provide products from both local and global vendors with a goal of supporting locally as well as providing product diversity. We also choose to support our community by regularly donating to a variety of local charity events throughout the year. Supporting each other locally benefits everyone!

History

Little Luxuries, two blocks from the Capitol at 230 State Street and across the street from the Overture Center, is a specialty gift and accessories store that has been a fixture on State Street since 1990. Janice Durand originally opened the store at 214 State Street and moved it to its current location next to the Fanny Garver Gallery in 2008. This move has provided Little Luxuries a fresh new look illuminated with plenty of natural light. The current owner of Little Luxuries is Amy Moore, an employee of Little Luxuries since 2006, who brings her interior design skills and love for retail to the business.
