ProductsMorgan's Shoes is one of the few full service shoe stores in the country. We have five fulltime, board certified Pedorthists and 27 professional shoe fitters on staff. Less than 2% of all shoe stores in the United States have one Pedorthist, we have five! Our huge inventory includes widths 4A thru 6E for both men and women, allowing us to fit almost anybody. Morgan's specializes in comfortable footwear that you will be proud to wear. We stock hundreds of insoles and arch supports which many customers need to feel and achieve their personal best. We work closely with the medical community. In house equipment allows our staff to fabricate and fill your doctor's prescriptions, including custom arch supports. Morgan's Shoes offer free foot screening by Certified Pedorthists, including computerized foot scans (by appointment, please). |

PhilosophyUnfortunately, there are no shoe vendors or manufacturers in the Madison area. However, Morgan's is committed to buying US products whenever possible. New Balance, the exclusive provider for our New Balance Madison Store, has five factories in the United States. Morgan's Shoes stocks Munro Shoes, made in Little Rock, AR, and Chacos, assembled in Paonia, CO. We also carry a large selection of SAS shoes made only in San Antonio, TX, and many of our PW Minors are made in the USA. Morgan's stocks the popular Magdesians and Sbiccas, both made in California. Morgan's Shoes has also established innovative programs with many locally owned businesses, to encourage Madisonians to buy locally by offering reciprocal discount programs to their customers. |

HistoryMorgan's Shoes has been at Hilldale since 1961, when Ken Morgan began working for Youthful Shoes. It was one of the original tenants, known then as Youthful Shoes. Ken realized that the fitting of children's shoes needed to be done by well trained specialists as small children cannot tell you how their shoes fit. So, in 1983, the Stride Rite Store was opened exclusively for childrens' shoes and Youthful Shoes began selling adult shoes. In 1972 Ken became an owner. In 1983, he purchased the business outright changing the name to Morgan's Shoes. Ken opened New Balance Madison in 1998 to meet the demands of athletes. The athletic business required dedicated personnel who understood the demands of serious runners as well as beginners and recreational runners and walkers. Morgan chose to sell New Balance shoes because they are the only manufacturer who makes so many widths with a large in stock program. |
