Products

We are the only mustard museum on the planet, with the world's largest collection of mustards - 5,000 varieties - and memorabilia. Between 450 and 500 mustards are for sale at any one time. Our museum store offers FREE SAMPLES, other delicious foods and Bucky merchandise. Join our Mustard of the Month Club or ask for personalized recipes. Gift boxes with mustards, jams, fruit butters, honey, salsa, hot sauces, chocolate cows and other gourmet food delights from Wisconsin are also available online for corporate or holiday giving. The museum is the home of Poupon U, America's Mustard College. We are open 7 days a week, 10-5pm, and closed only four days a year.

Philosophy

The Mt. Horeb Mustard Museum is committed to buying locally, and features many Wisconsin mustard originals. Through our dedication to quality and the truly delicious condiment that is mustard, we naturally support smaller, independent food artisans. No one in the entire world carries as many mustards as we do.

History

Our story begins in the wee hours of the night in October of 1986, after the Red Sox lost the series. In distress, Barry Levenson went to the closest Woodman's supermarket looking for a new hobby and found mustard. He heard, "Collect us and they will come". The hobby first became an addition to his house. Then in 1991 the collection was opened to the public, and in 1992, the store. Poupon U and other worldwide attractions followed. Our curator can fill you in on the glorious history of mustard! You can learn even more through our newsletter, worldwide mustard competition and writing contests.
