We are unique in the way we treat patients and clients. We are a friendly, no-pressure clinic that offers you all the options on your pet’s needs in a state of the art but comfortable environment. Veterinary services include: wellness exams, spays, neuters, general and some specialty surgeries, urgent care, in-house x-ray machine, dental cleaning, dental x-rays, in-clinic laboratory, after-hours consultation. We offer fair and affordable pricing. For pet-related needs, we recommend local businesses for groomers and quality pet food to give your pet the best in all aspects of their care. Dr. Kristine Collins is a UW 2001 graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a one-year surgical internship and has been in practice in the area since 2002.

Philosophy

Supporting local businesses is the basis of a healthy community. Local owners are able to make decisions that work on a local level and add to a community's uniquness. Economically, items purchased locally is a way to keep a large part of that money staying within the local community. All this makes for a healthy local economy. SPVC has directed clients to local pet stores (Tabby & Jacks, Mad Cat and Nutzy Mutz) because these stores have foods with the ingredients that we recommend. We work with local goomers (Lori's PetAgree, Goochi Poochi, and Oregon Pet Salon and Spa) and locally based pet training (Dog's Best Friend and Mad City Dogs). General ordering is made with a supply facility in Sun Prairie when possible.

History

Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic was started in March 2010 by Dr. Kristine Collins. She had worked at a veterinary clinic in Oregon, Wisconsin since 2002. During that time she enjoyed the small town atmosphere and working with clients - in and outside of the clinic, buying in the local community and attending community events. SPVC's goal is to continue community-based, individiual attention of both pets and owners; and give consistant, quality follow-up care.
