ProductsWYOU Community Television provides the public a voice to express the diversity, spirit and creativity in our community. We educate the community in the use of digital video cameras and editing software, and provide facilities for independent and amateur producers to create programs. We provide access to the broadcast medium for local residents and businesses to discuss issues and express themselves artistically.Our programs are cablecast via Charter Communications in the greater Dane County area on analog Channel 95 and digital Channel 991, a potential audience reach of 200,000 households. WYOU also delivers high-quality streaming of our programs live via www.wyou.org. Streaming increases audience and provides a tool to quantify the viewer ship. |

HistoryEstablished in 1976, WYOU is Madison's non-profit Community Access Television Station and is an ongoing resource to the citizens of Madison for the production and broadcast of locally-produced programs. The determination and spirit of Board members, staff and volunteers over the years have kept the station alive through its many financial and operational challenges. WYOU has grown from cable casting only a few hours per day to cable casting and web casting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Today, WYOU operates with an Executive Director, staff, a committed, active Board of Directors, and a large pool of volunteers. |
