Products

Offbeat Acres is a small fruit and fiber farm, located ten miles east of Madison, Wisconsin. We grow raspberries, peaches, apples, pears, plums, and paw paws. We also raise alpacas, and have yarn, roving, socks, raw fiber and other alpaca products for sale.  The land has been in our family since the 1890s. Visitors would always tell us we should do something with the place, but it took years of gardening, cooking, research, and a fifteen page business plan to make it a reality.

We sell alpaca yarn, roving, raw fleece, and other alpaca products such as socks, scarves & hats.  We also sell raspberries and other fruit. Look for us at local farmer's markets!

Philosophy

It is important to support the local economy. Buying local keeps jobs in the community. It's great to know your local farmer too, and know exactly how your food is grown.  We love supporting our fellow farmers and producers, as well as restaurants that source their food locally.

History

Our business started in 2008 by Paul & Erin.  We have lived here since 1996,but finally decided to start revitalizing the farm after our kids were born.  Paul is a stay-home dad, mechanic, and artist, that also does the majority of the farm work.  For us, this business allows us to have an outlet to sell our products, Paul's art, while giving us an opportunity to raise our kids in an awesome environment with a stay home parent.
