ProductsThere’s a clear correlation between our minds and the decisions we make with them, visible in our physical spaces. Feng Shui, as I practice it, works specifically to calm the mind and bring us more fully into the present moment. I know of no other work on physical spaces that can produce health benefits, reduce overstimulation, provide grounding, improve sleep patterns, and increase clarity of mind. Specifically I arrange furniture, floor coverings, lighting, art work, and architectural designs to create grounding, a sense of proper flow, and a sense of personal power. Working with the dreams and intentions of the clients, I also work with color. My primary focus: function, form, color. |

PhilosophyAside from the economic advantage to our community and its members, local shopping creates and sustains community, the basis of democracy. The investment required for starting and maintaining a business is strong when the staff and owners have a personal stake in its success. Part of the investment is goodwill and community involvement. Local is good for the economy and good for relationships. Relationship work is at the core of my business for anything I do on the job is for the purpose of improved relationships. My trusty iPad is filled with the contact information of local colleagues whose names I proudly share whenever there is a request for: painters, blinds, draperies, carpentry, flooring, furniture building, gardening and landscaping, paint stores, art work. |

HistoryThe ways we heal ourselves take many forms. Years ago I attended medical school out of a passion for healing but realized quickly that I preferred a different form of healing, not yet known to me. The vision of grounded wholeness provided by feng shui can call to anyone, but when that vision reached me, I moved forward with professional training, first in Bali and then in Madison. In late 2004 I began my private practice working locally, around the country, and internationally in physical spaces of all kinds: homes, schools, offices, and spiritual centers. In March, 2011 I complete my certification for the ultimate physical space: our bodies; I will complete both my 200 hour and 500 hour Yoga Alliance teacher certification at that time. |
