Activities include indoor & outdoor miniature golf, golf range covered and heated for year-round practice, par 3 course, batting cages, climbing wall, hiball, water wars, remote control boats and arcade. George Vitense Golf Academy is home to (8) golf professionals available for private or group golf instruction year-round. The Green Tree Grill is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Private event spaces, an extensive catering menu and year-round fun are all the ingredients for a perfect event. Off premise catering is now available. If you enjoyed Vitense Golfland prior to the renovation in 2006, you will be pleased with many year round offerings now available. |

HistoryVitense Golfland, located conveniently at Whitney Way and West Beltline Highway, was founded in 1955 by George Vitense, a longstanding PGA professional, past president of the Wisconsin PGA, and an inductee of the Madison Sports Hall of Fame. George had a vision of developing a multifaceted, affordable, day & night family golf environment. In its first few years of operation, George Vitense Golfland already featured a large double deck golf range, two 18 hole miniature golf courses and a 9 hole par 3 course.Although George Vitense died in 1988, his grandson, Joel Weitz, President & PGA Professional of Vitense Golfland, and past president of the Wisconsin PGA, continues the operation of the business today. In 2006, Joel and Sarah Weitz opened new doors to Vitense Golfland offering affordable year-round practice and fun for families and golf enthusiasts throughout the area. |
