If you look here you might get the impression that we're in the family reunion business, and you'd be right. At Bunky's Cafe you can also see Middle Eastern belly dancing, be part of a wine tasting or hear fellow diners singing Italian favorites.

Did we mention food?  It ranges from homemade ravioli, pasta, and kabobs to vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free entr%uFFFDes and desserts. After two decades in the seafood and catering business (not to mention Rachid's civil engineering background), we have as much fun serving you as our patrons have enjoying Bunky's unique ambience and cuisine.  Experience the old world fun of eating without a plate--spaghetti on a board!

We also host private parties and offer gift certificates, catering and party trays. Click here for our takeout menu.

Philosophy

As part of the Slow Food movement and Madison Originals, we buy local vendors and growers through the Northside Farmer's Market and people we know.  It's part of our history and philosophy, beginning way back in Chicago when the original Bunky took a little heat from unnamed musclemen who "suggested" that buying local was a good idea.  Truth is, we love hearing from our local farmers so we can tailor the menu specials around what's fresh and most tasty.

For us, buying local also means giving locally, too.  Each time you pay with cash or a check, we use the money we don't spend on credit card fees to support the community that supports us.

History

Please join us for lunch or dinner Tuesday-Saturday. Sit back and enjoy our relaxed atmosphere, superb staff, and delicious food.  We hope to see you soon!
