ProductsKids are welcome at Clasen's! During most of the year a delightful and elaborate life size playhouse occupies one corner of the store. Children can play inside it while their parents shop. At Christmas the playhouse is replaced by a HUGE 10-FOOT REAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE, and at Easter by a HUGE 10-FOOT EASTER EGG HOUSE! Free treats are provided inside the houses for the kids to enjoy while they play.Adults are treated to complementary coffee and samples including European Coffee Cakes, Buttercream Tortes, and a dazzling array of special treats. HistoryClasen's European Bakery was started in 1959 by Ralph and Ernst Clasen. They left their home in Cologne, Germany to pursue a life in America doing what they knew best, baking. They settled in Middleton, WI where they proudly began creating European breads, cakes, and pastries.Ralph's daughter Michelle returned to Germany for her Pastry Degree, which she received after extensive training. She then returned home to proudly continue the tradition of quality European baking. Clasen's European Bakery has become a name everyone recognizes and associates with Old World quality and baking tradition. |
