ProductsAt Good Oak, we are experts in native plants. Our goal is to restore these native plants and the many creatures that depend on them to as much of our landscape as possible. We can help homeowners use wildflowers and prairie grasses to create beautiful, environmentally friendly landscapes around their home. We also help rural property owners restore their woodlands and wetlands to health, and establish and maintain new prairies. |

PhilosophyNative landscaping and ecological restoration are inherently local activities. Native landscaping seeks to draw inspiration from our regional natural areas so we use locally quarried stone for stonework and plant only native plants grown by local nurseries. These practices not only support the economy of our human community, it also supports the greater natural community of our region. |

HistoryAfter fifteen years of volunteering and working in the field of ecological restoration, in 2008 Frank Hassler decided it was time to strike out on his own so he could pursue broader interests, including landscaping with native plants and educating people about ecological issues. Fortunately he has some friends who can help, including Allison Eyring-Green, a local landscape designer with extensive experience working with native plants. |
