Products

Metallon Properties is a locally owned and operated Commercial Real Estate firm. We do not help people find homes, we help them find homes for their businesses. From retailers, office users, to warehouse operators; we focus our efforts in helping clients find the right location for their business needs.

A short history of Kent Yan's work here in Dane County:
  • Worked to help relocate Frugal Muse Books’ west side store – now currently located next to Target and Old Navy on Junction Rd. (March 2009)
  • Helped fellow Dane Buy Local member Tim O'Brien find his Apple Nutrition store location on Hwy PD (April 2010)
  • Represented Westfield Comics in their lease negotiations for the company's new east side store on Williamson St. (November 2010)

Philosophy

Simply, buying local is important because it keeps the money here in Dane County. The more money that is kept in town, the more businesses and individuals can prosper. Buying local also helps bond the community. If everyone just bought their items off the Internet, we would lose sight as to how special our community is.

History

Growing up in Madison, I worked extensively at my parent’s restaurant, Yan’s Soupcon, and through managing the business, I developed a very deep understanding and respect for the local businesses in the Madison area.  When the old University Square was scheduled to be leveled, on behalf of the restaurant building’s ownership, I contacted the tenants who were at the shopping center and leased the building to Bob’s Copy Shop.  Got a check from the Landlords and thought to myself: cool.

So, after graduating from UW-Madison in 2007, I decided to jump into the commercial real estate brokerage business.  Don’t exactly know why, but just felt it would be a good fun adventure.
