ProductsKite Aerial Photography utilizes large kites and wind power to raise cameras for aerial views. Using a kite to lift the camera creates unique opportunities for very interesting camera angles generating artful, low altitude close-ups of property and events. This combination of kite and camera allows me to take my camera to places where only birds and bugs go to obtain never before seen views of familiar subjects. |

HistoryIn the early 1980's I began making and flying kites. Within a few years the kites I was making were large and powerful and I began using them to lift my radio-controlled cameras. Image quality steadily improved with upgrades to my equipment and soon I found customers for the images I was making from my kite. I shoot images for advertising, scientific and research documentation, land use and project planning, editorial and promotion, and fine art. After 20 years of Kite Aerial Photography I have a large collection of stock images and a book called Hanging by a Thread, a kite's view of Wisconsin. |
