Philosophy

Giving back to our community is central in my philosophy, and Lois B Designs has assisted many community organizations through their creative endeavors, including: The Goodman Community Center, REAP, The Sewing Machine Project and Madison Quakers: Projects in Vietnam.

I enjoy each project that I work on, and enjoy using my skills to assist business owners and key employees with their marketing challenges. I see myself as a team player, who brings a breadth of practical experience and a grounded perspective to my work. My website testimonials will attest to the philosophy that I approach each challenge with.

History

I have been working in the Madison area as a freelance designer since 1994, after co-owning Cottonwood Futons and Furnishings for twelve years. During the 1980's I also taught design and typography at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and MATC.

In addition to developing a successful retail business, I also worked in design departments at the University, WHA, and a local advertsing agency.

The finished products I have created, along with the relationships that I have developed in the community have been my rewards.
