Products

We offer Kombucha brewing classes and mother cultures. We also sell retail and wholesale in the local community. We are a women owned and operated business

Philosophy

Buying local is important to us because it keeps money in the community. It also helps to keep people we know with businesses and farms in business. It is important for our present local economy as well as the future. We love to have our product in local venues. The smaller, the easier to deal with on a personal level. You get to speak directly with the people who run the business when you need to. Our tea is bought from Rishi, which is in Milwaukee. Our sugar is through a local company, our bottles come from Milwaukee as well and are printed through a local business. We use reverse osmosis through the culligan company. Our tea is composted and picked up by a local farmer. We do all that we can to be sustainable and local minded.

History

Our business began two years ago when we saw that people were becoming very interested in kombucha. Alla and I were both brewing and teaching herbal classes at the time. We decided to teach kombucha classes and it sort of blew up from there. We began being known as the Kombucha ladies. We decided to try and do the East Side Farmers Market. Once there we began to grow. Two years later we have a dedicated line of 4 flavors with a quarterly changing seasonal blend. At the farmers markets we do we have a weekly new flavor that is brewed using local produce and/or wildcrafted herbs in season. We currently have about 18 vendors and are looking for a bigger kitchen space in order to continue to grow and serve the Dane County area as well as Milwaukee and Chicago.
