On February 1, 2007, Sergenian's Floor Coverings initiated Wisconsin's first and only comprehensive carpet reclamation program. Quite simply, the promise was made that NO CARPET THAT SERGENIAN'S REMOVES WILL END UP IN A LANDFILL. Almost two years later, this promise remains unbroken, and over 1,000,000 (one million) pounds of carpet waste have been diverted from Dane County landfills. |

HistorySergenian's was founded in 1930 by Ara Sergenian and was originally on Monroe Street with a focus on Oriental Rugs. With subsequent locations on State Street and Lakeside Street, Sergenians moved to its current location on the Beltline in 1967. Still a family owned business, Sergenian's has broadened its product offering to encompass all facets of floor coverings for Commercial and Residential applications.Sergenian's has been recognized nationally as well as locally for its excellence in quality and service. Honors include National Rug Retailer of the year in 2003 and a National Design Award for its work at the Overture Center. Sergenian's has also been recognized locally as a winner of the Dane County Small Business Award. Strong company management, a professional sales and installation staff, a commitment to excellence and a dedication to customer service have been the cornerstones of a successful local business for almost 80 years. |
