The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation is a non-profit organization that provides business education, financial awareness education and micro-lending to small business owners and those looking to start a small business in Wisconsin.

Philosophy

We believe strongly in the importance of small business. Small businesses provide jobs, needed community services, flavor and community identities to our state. We are here to help support those businesses start and grow.

History

Since 1987, The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) has helped women and men entrepreneurs. Over the past 23 years WWBIC has directly financed over 1,000 businesses and assisted in the creation and retention of over 5000 jobs. Over the years we have grown from a one-person organization to a strong statewide non-profit that employs about 30 people. Our mission is to help women, people of color and lower income people start and grow small businesses in the state of Wisconsin, but our services are available to anyone that needs them.
