Sewing with your friends is fun and we want to offer you a space to sewcialize!  We are exactly what our name says, The Sewcial Lounge is a place to come and sew with friends new or old. Think of us as a modern fabric and sewing lounge, offering designer fabrics and sewing classes for all levels focusing on creating specific projects.  Beyond offering classes, you can also reserve our sewing lounge where you’ll learn from each other.  You can work on any project, we will provide the space and you bring your supplies.

Fabric designers include Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry, Alexander Henry, and Nancy Mims with more to come! We also have books, patterns, and notions of all kinds!

Philosophy

Buying local has always been important to me from a personal perspective so when opening The Sewcial Lounge we were happy to find local vendors to fulfill our requests.  As we continue to grow we are committed to working with other local businesses and hope to develop many more long lasting relationships.

History

The Sewcial Lounge opened in October 2011.  The combination of a love of sewing and fabric along with fulfilling a dream of owning her own business brought owner, Sara Myers, to create The Sewcial Lounge.  She hopes the shop will inspire other young sewers or those who would like to learn to sew to give it a try!
