You¿ll develop a strong professional network with local and global change-makers creating and sustaining community, organizational, and personal wellbeing. The Social Innovation & Sustainability Leadership program offers a Master of Arts degree, 9-month Graduate Certificate, and Professional Development opportunities. You¿ll find class schedules that accommodate working professionals as well as full-time students.
Philosophy:
The purpose of leadership is creating sustainable wellbeing in ourselves, our workplaces and in our communities. Students discover and develop their own leadership strengths while learning and applying emerging trends in leadership to facilitate systemic, cross-sector community or organizational change. We explore new and emerging models of ecological, social, and economic sustainability and wellbeing and study organizational, social, and economic systems that are in harmony with natural systems. Through social innovation projects in collaboration with community partners, students generate new solutions to societal problems ¿ solutions that are more effective, efficient, sustainable, or just than current solutions.
History:
Starting with our first cohort in August 2010, our community has grown to include more than 100 alumni creating positive change in an array of professional fields. In addition to our students, our community includes organizations and institutions who share our vision for transformational change to a sustainable world. Students engage with the community to create and implement projects that advance this work.
