As a family owned business since 1955, we can directly attribute our success to the many wonderful local residents and visitors that have patronized Vitense Golfland for 54 years. Generations of family members have visited Vitense Golfland over the years, and repeat business by local customers is one of the key components to our success.

The success of many local businesses is dependent upon building relationships with not only customers, but also with other local businesses. It is a critical component to the growth and success of our community. Working with each other to grow the local economy will certainly benefit us and future generations.
Vitense Golfland, located conveniently at Whitney Way and West Beltline Highway, was founded in 1955 by George Vitense, a longstanding PGA professional, past president of the Wisconsin PGA, and an inductee of the Madison Sports Hall of Fame. George had a vision of developing a multifaceted, affordable, day & night family golf environment. In its first few years of operation, George Vitense Golfland already featured a large double deck golf range, two 18 hole miniature golf courses and a 9 hole par 3 course.

Although George Vitense died in 1988, his grandson, Joel Weitz, President & PGA Professional of Vitense Golfland, and past president of the Wisconsin PGA, continues the operation of the business today.

In 2006, Joel and Sarah Weitz opened new doors to Vitense Golfland offering affordable year-round practice and fun for families and golf enthusiasts throughout the area.
