• Business or nonprofit is located in Dane County, WI (includes counties contiguous to Dane County: Columbia, Dodge, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Rock, Sauk).
• Corporate headquarters of your business or organization located within Dane County or contiguous counties.
• Business owners, Board members or officers totaling more than 50% ownership, live in Dane County or counties contiguous to Dane County.
• Business or organization is registered in Wisconsin.
• Business or nonprofit independently controls purchasing decisions allowing you to buy goods, products or services from vendors of your choosing.
• Business or nonprofit makes independent decisions regarding the name and look of the business, including marketing, advertising, logo design and branding decisions.
• Business or nonprofit makes independent decisions regarding business procedures, practices and policies.

Dane Buy Local Inc. business members demonstrate the breadth of locally owned businesses in the area. Business members include: manufacturers, restaurants, bookstores, banks and credit unions, real estate agencies, educational institutions, furniture stores, builders, insurance agencies and companies, musicians, advertising agencies, grocers and food suppliers, business consultants, IT service providers, office equipment suppliers, clothing stores, financial consultants, utility companies, photographers, hotels, gift shops, and many more. Whether you are dining, shopping, relaxing, volunteering or working, we encourage you to Think Local First!

If your business has multiple locations, all locations, staff, and employees are included in one membership.  

If you could not answer “Yes” to all of the criteria questions above, we encourage you to join as an individual Citizen/Supporter for $50/year and welcome your support for the Dane Buy Local mission.
