Product/Service
The Froth House, your local art house cafe located at 11 N. Allen Street, serves the best coffee drinks in town using Blue Marble Family Farms milk products. We are proud to provide a community home for fine local artists, musicians, coffee and tea drinkers, beer/wine enthusiasts and food lovers. We also host Irish and Tango dancing, acoustic jamborees, art receptions, poetry readings, coffee cuppings, wine tastings and discussion groups. You can reserve the indoor and outdoor space for your events. During the summer, we have a beautiful outdoor garden that hosts weekly live music.
Buying Local
With so many talented artists, musicians, bakers, landscapers, beer brewers, farmers, roasters, builders and good people in Dane County, there is a support cast for running a successful independent business. In return, this provides a stronger local economy. We buy our coffee from local roasters, our bakery goods from a local bakery, and beers from Madison, Middleton, New Glarus and Spring Green.
History
The Froth House established itself in the fall of 2006. Erik Thebert and Dean Welch saw a void in the community that needed to be filled, and Terese Dietrich shares the commitment that small business owners offer the Regent neighborhood as well as the larger community. One definition of "froth" is "to vent or voice ones opinion." Another is "to illustrate an eagerness or near necessity to do, see or feel something." Our mission is to provide a public house for the community to enjoy fine food and beverages in an artistically stimulating environment with our business practices emphasizing locally produced ingredients and utilizing sustainable energy sources whenever possible.
