Associated Housewrights is a craftsperson-based company offering high quality residential design and construction services to the greater Madison area. Since 1992 our conscientious staff has combined their talent and experience in residential and interior design, project management, construction and cabinetmaking to produce award-winning projects.

History

The initial partnership of Associated Housewrights was formed in 1992 when Matt Spear and Scott Shimanski joined forces. We both had years of experience in the building industry, and our degrees in mechanical engineering and economics, respectively, were well-suited to the new partnership. Richard Porst joined the partnership in 1997, adding his years of expertise as an award-winning woodworker. Several members of the Associated Housewrights team have earned certifications in Green Advantage remodeling, and lead carpenter status from NARI, and our work has won awards on a local and national level.
