David Bacco Chocolats

Product/Service

Signature chocolates feature flavors inspired by the elements of earth, air, fire, water and spirit. Chakra chocolate bars are also available. Designed to improve the health of each of the body's Chakras, they include bittersweet chocolate along with select dried fruit, nuts and spices. House-made hot chocolate, coffees, teas and other beverages complete the shop's offerings. Artful, handcrafted chocolates are available by the piece or beautifully boxed and can be shipped when purchased. Gift certificates are also available.

Buying Local

David Bacco Chocolats strives to use local sources whenever possible, such as cream from Blue Marble Family Farm in Barneveld, Wisconsin. Unfortunately, cocoa does not grow in and around Dane County, but David Bacco Chocolats is committed to using only suppliers who practice direct trade - when buyers work directly with growers.

History

Bacco launched his signature chocolates while working with downtown Madison's Cocoliquot restaurant, earning accolades such as Best Restaurant for Dessert (Isthmus Magazine 2007) and being named the exclusive chocolatier for Madison's Chocolate Gala. The idea for his own shop began at Cocoliquot and became a reality when David Bacco Chocolats opened in May 2008 in the Hilldale Shopping Center. The Hilldale shop showcases Bacco's personal style and self-expression where his chocolates engage the senses not only through a myriad of flavors, but also through visually stunning shapes, colors and designs.
