Career Smiths specializes in business writing and career counseling. We work to encourage the career advancement of people in Greater Madison and throughout Wisconsin. Our work can take many forms: assistance with writing resumes, helping develop market and business plans, advising with career planning, and any other related writing. We work with a diverse population of individuals and groups, from recent college graduates to small businesses to individuals simply looking to utilize their varied skills. Buying Local

Locally owned businesses provide a means for the sustainability of our community. Madison has a very unique character, and it is partially due to the independent, locally owned businesses that we have here. Individuals and new independent businesses are drawn to Madison because of the personalized experience they can have when they shop for whatever it is they might need: foods, services, or goods. When you do business with a locally owned and independent business you know you are interacting with people from the same community as you, with similar concerns and interests.

History

While Brian has been involved with this type of work for a number of years, he has been working independently for the past 18 years. Prior to Career Smiths he worked for The Wisconsin State Job Service. Career Smiths has been housed at its location on Regent Street since it opened 18 years ago. While the number of employees has varied in the past, there are currently two full time employees available to work with clients on whatever their career and business needs might be.
